About the Product

Originally launched back in 1993 as the world's first pump controller, the Lowara Hydrovar has set the standard since in product innovation and reliability and is now on the 5th generation of variable speed pump controllers. One of the many benefits of the Lowara Hydrovar is its flexibility as it can be mounted on any new or existing pump fitted with a standard IEC motor, from 1.5 kW up to 22.0 kW.

Hydrovar features

Hydrovar Features

  • Pump systems are often oversized; a motor running at 80% of its maximum speed uses 48% less energy, with savings up to 70% at partial loads.
  • Easy to commission, simple to set up and operate with the easy start up menu allowing you to walk through every step.
  • New features include a larger screen display.
  • No external control panel needed.
  • No water hammer. The steady operation of the pump in partial loads prevents water hammer typical of full speed start/stop systems.
  • Less wear and mechanical stress due to lower running speeds and soft start operation.
  • Multi-pump capability comes as standard (1 to 8 pumps) with RS485 interface and independent microprocessors for each drive.
  • Modbus and BACnet protocol fitted as standard.

Control Options:

  • Multi-pump capability as standard from 1 to 8 pumps
  • Constant pressure
  • Constant flow
  • System curve
  • Via a 4-20 mA or 0-10V external signal
  • Automatic test and auto change over
  • Stops at zero demand
  • Integrated soft start/stop
  • Complete set of analog and digital input/output
  • Premium card allows an additional 2 inputs and 2 outputs
